Visitors can learn about such notable inventors as Forrest M. Bird (the respirator), Lloyd Hall (the Magnetron), and Margaret Knight (the paper bag). The museum also offers inventing workshops and other programs for kids and adults. It occupies a sleek, arched building in downtown, on the western edge of the University of Akron campus.
Museum is closed for renovations until Fall, 2009.
