About Old Trail School

Old Trail School, serving preschoolers through eighth graders in a tri-county area, is located in the midst of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Hale Farm and the Cuyahoga River. This natural setting provides a unique perspective as students arrive and depart. Our state-of-the-art campus includes several classroom buildings, a swimming pool, athletic facilities and playing fields. A library, fine arts area, dining facilities and two well-equipped computer labs provide the educational environment to challenge, nurture and encourage students to thrive.We are a diverse community of educators, learners and families. Together we provide a program which fosters academic excellence, personal development and social responsibility. Community service is a major component of our philosophy. Beginning in Preschool, children are encouraged and helped to contribute their time and talent to enrich the lives of others. A wealth of field trips, class trips and special visits combin e to provide enriched learning experiences at every level.Conveniences and supports are offered to busy families. Transportation is available from many surrounding communities. Exciting before and after care programs extend the day. A nurse is always on duty as are two school psychologists, a speech and hearing therapist and number of tutors.
